Honda Motorcycles Scooter India launches Aviator

Honda Motorcycles Scooter India today unveiled its new 102cc automatic scooter, Aviator at the Auto Expo.

Priced at Rs. 39,675 (ex-showroom Delhi), Aviator would be available across India from March this.

According to HMSI’s Head of Sales and Marketing N K Rattan, “Aviator is targeted at males and we plan to sell about as many as 1 lakh units of the scooter in the next fiscal. Our overall target of sales is around 1 million units of which 7 lakh will be scooters and three lakh motorcycles during this period.”

General Motors launches Chevrolet Captiva

General Motors has launched Chevrolet Captiva SUV, at the Auto Expo today.

Chevrolet Captiva priced at Rs. 17.74 lakhs is squarely aimed at the premium SUV market and would be competing with Honda CRV and Mitsubishi Pajero for market share.

Auto Expo starts off with a slew of car launches

Start of the 9th Auto Expo has witnessed a slew of car launches by various car manufacturers.

Maruti Suzuki today unveiled 3 concept cars, including the fifth global car A Star Concept. A Star would be manufactured in India from October 2008. The other two concept cars are Splash and Kazshi.

Volvo on the other hand has showcased its C70 convertible, which would soon be launched in India.

While every one is waiting for Tata’s to unveil its Rs. 1 Lakh car tomorrow, today it introduced the new variants of Sumo and Indigo. Sumo Grande would be priced between Rs 6.55 and 7.49 lakhs, while the price for the first sub 4 meter sedan Indigo CS hasn’t yet been decided.
