Most beautiful flying machine ever built. To me, A380, boasting of its size, stands nowhere near 747 series! And here we have 747-8 to rock the skies!!

Must have been 500 and this must be(is) a typo error....it aint an aircraft carrier.......5000 passengers....imagine the size of aircraft and runway required to create a lift

Wiki

EDIT:Hahahaha
Read this link it says

EVERETT, Wash., Feb. 8/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Boeing (NYSE: BA) 747-8 Freighter successfully took to the sky for the first time today before more than 5,000 employees, customers, suppliers and community leaders.

The Indian Army has these Russian freighters which are the largest operating planes in the world. They can carry a payload of 27-30 trucks (those big ones we see in convoys) or 5000 men or a combination thereof.

hmm, If it crashed, that would be most of the management of Boeing and most of the customers wiped out.

I don't think so !
I guess ur talking about the IAF IL-76. They are neither the largest aircraft in the world, nor can carry anything close to what a 747-8 can carry.

A 747-8 for example can carry a total payload of 140,000 kg (140 tonnes) whereas an IL76 can only carry 40 tonnes.

As for carrying trucks, check this photograph out

This is a freighter variant of an Airbus A300, known as Beluga, and its carrying the fuselage of a Boeing 737 (common Jet aircraft)

As far as I know, the aircraft which is the largest AND can carry the max amount of payload is an Antonov 225, with a payload capacity of 250 tonnes , even an A380 cant beat it.
