On the 18th May 2006, foundation of BCMTouring was laid with the idea of promoting touring in India and helping touring enthusiasts gain a platform through which they can reach out to like minded individuals and tell their side of the story.

365 days, 938 topics, 11050 posts, 255 members and 101 trip logs later, we believe we are on the right track, yet at the same time we feel there is a long and wonderful journey ahead.

A journey full of joys of discovering new paths, of meeting like minded enthusiasts, developing friendship and a sense of belonging, which is not constrained by any human created borders, nature created mountains or the mighty sea itself. A journey which is bound to enriched us like never before.

So hold on to your horses, we are just getting started…

Just a question.. what do members of "Advisory Board" do? Coz the name sounds cheesy

Like the name suggests they advice, in case any serious decision is to be made with regards to BCMTouring we all (advisory board and moderation team) sit down and do some brainstorming. Which usually helps us gain a larger perspective than we would have had in case only couple of us were calling the shots.

We usually call all of us the core team, but that is some thing that is only referred to in the inner circle hence I used the title "advisory board" in the mail.
