I have just added a new section completely devoted to Map and GPS trails of India. I know not many use GPS to map their route, but the effort has to start some where and I believe this is the right time to do it.

In case you have already mapped few routes, please do share them with the rest of the community.

again,the age old request:
a. A wiki collection of the same. atleast a common unified landing page with multiple tracks available.
b. a va va voom linking with Google maps that allows one to click on the trail for a particular GPS trail.

a better idea I have to contribute. routes can have attachments of KML files. This is something I can do

At this point I don’t actually see the need for going in for a wiki since member’s contribution to sections which ought to be under wiki is still very limited (travel guides). I don’t think wiki would be all that necessary for GPS trails related threads, until we start getting multiple trails for the same destination with a slight variation and even in that case moderators can append the first post with multiple trails.

This currently isn’t possible with vBulletin, but I will try to implement this through external files.

Zip and txt files are already allowed and I will also add kml file to the upload option as well and increase the upload size limits for these files as well.

Edit: kml and kmz file types added and size increased to 1mb for these and for zip files.
