Nothing like that sir, just checking if we start a wiki, people will actually use it or not.

My guess is they will not!
Just see the number of Ladakh queries that crop up! Most people want the easy way out - simply post the questions. Someone will answer them.

Re: Using a wiki
I have been using Wiki for quite some time now. I have also tried wikimedia installations with MySQL and Apache.

Re: Using a wiki
Ditto here, I have setup wiki software, and have done basic mediawiki editing.
Due to wikipedia, mediawiki is the most popular nowadays and all bugs get sorted pretty quickly.

Re: Using a wiki
Its not a question of setting up mediawiki, I have done that a few times as well. Its more of if we introduce it here, will you guys contribute to it?

Re: Using a wiki
I have worked on more than 3 dozen pages in wikitravel and added a few too. Will definitely help you in collating and assimilating the information scattered throughout BCM.
Are you thinking of mediawiki + IPB, but I guess it will be much more expensive to run.
Or have you found something like VB + mediawiki... or will add wiki to the front page of the site?

Re: Using a wiki
Can't change the forum software again and the only vb+wiki project is now dead (learnt about it yesterday). Running a standalone wiki with no connection to the forum requiring its own search and its own member base isn’t something I want to do. Lets see if I can find a new script which does that.
