I had to cut open the flat connector and crimp the metal connectors together with a cutting plier. It worked fine for about 50 kms into a tour, but I guess a loose connection developed, and the neutral light is permanently on in any gear now
Probably need to splice it and connect the wires directly.
hi, I just got here from xbhp. I'd gone back to the thread there on this to find out about the HS1 / H4 connector before trying to get to it tonight. I had the Avenger coil for a long time, but I hadn't got around to doing the job. Then at the beginning of March I did, and I couldn't get all the screws out, and I left it like that and went to India for 4 weeks. I came back about a week ago and got the coil changed. Now I need to get the headlight off.

Good photos, Yogesh.

Yes, I had the same problem with the green connectors. The original was rectangular and the Avenger one was a round bullet connector. (I don't know if mine's an Avenger 180 part or a 200 part. I got the part number from a thread on xbhp.) I cut the connector off the original coil wire and replaced the Avenger one with it.

Now if someone could explain to me how to get the headlight off...

MavericK you can however you would need to change the holder and make some jugad so that the smaller H7 can fit in the place meant for H4.

Another major factor you have to keep in mind is the fact that h7 has only one beam, unlike hi-low beam of h4 halogens, so if you do this mod, you will loose either high or low beam.

^^ As mentioned by Hacket the Philips CV comes in a combo pack with two pilots lamps (lue glass white light).

Or you can go for Extra bright LED pilot lamps from Philips which sell for INR 1100 a pair.
