I know Manik was looking for some thing like this, what do you think of this?

Re: Avon lunched battery powered Bike
lol...
u posted it here already!

i thought only i m a quick motu!
but u r quicker ... despite being motu-er than me!!

i guess such bicycles are really good for school going kids as this will teach them abt the behaviour to be followed on roads when they grows up...

also i guess they shud have give a cool open face helmet too with this bicycle, so that the importance of the same is understood in its initial stages! what say?!
dont u think v shud sent such a suggestion to AVON itself on behalf om BCM Touring ?!

yup I am fatter then you and at the same time faster then you . Regarding Helmet you are right, they are as essential for Bike riders as they are for Motorcycle riders. But as is the case with every thing else in India, manufactures would rather bundle a seat cover etc then providing a helmet.

lol, this bike is meant to be a step above normal cycles. It is good for almost every one trying to cut down on fuel bills, finding a more eco friendly way to travel and who would like some thing that is not as tiring as a normal bike.

It is catering to a niche and I believe it is the first one out there, now Avon has to get the pricing right for this to sell. BTW I think the recharging time is a tad too high compared to the total power of this bike.

Sachin fact of the matter is every thing in this world is built with a purpose in mind; even a dung beetle serves its purpose well. What I gauged from the so called ?bikers? is they are not at all interested bikes, they don?t know a thing about bikes, and all they are interested in is attracting the opposite sex

i think it is better then what i was planning to make, as the fit and finish are obviously better if they are factory fitted.
as of now i am planning to put a motor of around 500-600w. and not the 200w motor i was thinking of putting earlier.
what i think most probable it to make something that can do 60-70kmph for 10km rather then 20-25kmph for 40km.
for this i think a rx100 w/o engine will do fine.
u guys know of any thing else thigh else which has a lighter frame?
