THE KHANCHENDZONGA MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPEDITION 2008 is first ever INTERNATIONAL Event is going to unveil on MARCH 2nd 2008 by INDIATRAWELL a leading and growing Travel & Tour Agency house known for its innovative tour packages covering every corner of INDIA for its Adventure based activities and Tourism Department of Government of Sikkim. This Event is going to be annual afire and will carry US$ 25000 as prize money apart from other prizes too be own by the participant.

Kachengonga and Sikkim are all about natural beauty and all about thrilling adventure. We at INDIATRAWELL have just plan to organize a 10 DAY MOUNTAIN BIKING EVENT the world's only real endurance testing biking stage race for the real adventure bikers who take their relationship with their bikes and nature seriously in the Eastern Himalayan range.

Pedal through the eastern Himalayas, as INDIATRAWELL going to unveils its first ever edition, and salutes the indomitable human spirit. It’s a toast to adventure lovers from around the world, as they come together for this grand cycling and hiking spectacle to the majestic ranges of the Himalayas. Ride through uncharted interiors, hike through deep forests, hear the music of the rivers and soak in the Himalayan autumn sunshine, as you get your set of wheels ride worthy through Single track, Village back roads, jeep tracks and as you’d expect a lot of ups and downs. 10 days of splendid adventure racing through a staggering 350 kms gaining an elevation of over 21,000 mts a test of strength and determination, the trans-Himalayan challenge.

HEE BERMIOK – KALUK – SORENG
SORENG – SOMBARIA – DARAMDIN
DARAMDIN – JORETHANG – NAMCHI
NAMCHI – NAMTHANG – RONGPO

umm, that's quite a steep fee for entry. bikes in RDH have it cheaper!

Even MTB Himachal charges US$ 750 from international participants and INR 12,000 from Indians.

I guess they are talking about the total amount of elevation gained throughout the course, will email them to get a clarification on this

21000 mts??? Man, that's more than twice the height of Everest Sure a trip to heaven!

! I'm sure they meant 21000 feet ASL, but even thats a staggering altitude to bike. How I wish *sigh*

I think there will be motorcycle riders as part of the support group, you can always volunteer for that.
