Cool Your Daily Commute

This thread is for all you cyclists to post pics of your bikes and the route of your daily commute. I would love to see where others are riding. Here are some pics of my beast and commute taken today as it was snowing.

Superb pics Roxxi !!! A thing which I would love to do, commute by bike to office !!

But forget a bike, you need a battle tank to navigate the Delhi traffic

Thanx MonkeyBoy...and you might be right about a battletank for the Dehli traffic. I think I would resemble a deer in headlights and freeze up. I almost got runned over twice today. People don't see or care for bikers even when it is our green light and right of way...good thing I have quick reflexes

Oh my God, please take care on the road. American traffic is so peaceful as compared to India, in India the bigger vehicle is the king of the traffic jungle.

So a bike rules over a pedestrian, a car rules over a bike and a truck over a car

On a lighter note, those pics posted above would make lovely entries for photography contest 12 - Winter

I tried my best this morning but we got hit with a snow storm last night and the roads were so frozen and thick in snow that my gears kept changing and freezing up on me. I finally had to turn around and take my bike home. I ended up "walking" to work. I took some pics of the slick roads and invisible sidewalks and will upload later after work. Police drove by me twice and gave me a funny look since I was the only one out in this weather. Winds were blowing at 32 MPH to make it more interesting. I had to stop to help a young girl stuck in the middle of the street in her large truck that she could not control. Got her off the phone and showed her how to get it off the road to avoid further accidents and allow the 25 cars stuck behind her to get by...they were grateful people.
Then trying to cross the icy street, I almost got hit by a car making a right hand turn and not looking at the green object in front of his car! I wonder what it will be like to walk home tonight after work?

Solid photos Roxxi speacially the one with railway track. Reminded me of my school time when i used to ride bike. However, as my office is about 20 miles it would take good few hours to reach hence use moterbike.

yes Guru...20 miles is too far for daily commute on a bike but on a motorcycle...purfect!
