Hi Guys,

I am paring down my comp / Lappy parts inventory, so I am planning to sell my Creative Live External USB 5.1 Channel Sound card.

It is a must upgrade for any one who has a Lappy and wants to watch Movies etc in 5.1 Channel Dolby sound. Plus since the muzik is transfered from the Lappy to the Sound Card vi USB in digital format, it is really pure sounding with none of the Lappy's hiss and clicks coming through. Also, it does not need any external power and is USB powered. It really upgrades 2 channel MP3 to 5 channel sound too. It has headphone and mic input on the external unit front face, and has master volume for Mic and Sound on the top of the unit. Has a Line In port at the back of the unit. It has a SPDIF port at the back and an Optical Port at the front.

Does not have the DIN Cable or the remote control as they are not a part of standard package.

I still have the original box, cable and CD with me.

It is available on ebay India for INR 4100, and I am asking INR 2500 plus postage (around INR 250, if couriered) as I have used it for around a year. Purchase cost was around $100 plus in US when I bought it and now it is around $50 in US.

Hi Anupam,

I use a laptop which does not have a 5.1 sound output. I was looking for a similar device. I would be happy to buy this sound card from you if u can clear the following 3 points.

1. Does this sound card distinctively segregates the sound in the 5 different channels because I have been told that many cards just create the effect.

2. Is the card in perfect working condition?

3. Is the price negotiable ? If yes, then what is your best offer?

Hi Rohan,

The Sound card is in mint condition as it is sparingly used. Regarding the sound effects, if you have a 5.1 Channel DVD, u will get the full Dolby effect with 5.1 speakers. If you are playing MP3, it uses algorithms to stimulate 3 D sound; in this case I found it best to use it in stereo mode only, as right now my speakers are placed in stereo configuration only.

Deepak, I am not sure about this. When I go to the configuration utility for the sound card, I can select 2/2.1, 4/4.1, 5.1 speaker setup, So I believe that this will work with your Creative 4.1 speaker system also. I have Hyundai 5.1 system and it works perfectly with it.

Regarding the price, this is fixed and you will also agree that it is value for money. I should rather ask more considering that the e-bay guys are asking more )
