If I remember correctly, Joga motors is commonly referred to as Aunty, mention that name to any RD mechanic and watch the smile come on to his face

Thats pretty Ok I guess, I searched few sellers on various websites, and the prices were actually shocking; starting from 60k to 1.5 lac My guess were in tune of your quoted price only i.e 35-45k.

Bang on target, you are absolutely correct, but then whats wrong. I mean I have actually heard so many negatives about her but then she is also sole the dealer and also quite popular (ok, in negative sense). But atleast she has the machines available round the year.

In India, everything is expensive on the internet . Also RDs cost a lot more down south so that might be the reason as well for such high figures. Frankly for the price you have seen, you can easily get an RD in good condition with dual disk setup at front and single disk setup at rear!

Thats absolutely true, Let me tell you my exact intentions One of my very close friend is having a Yamaha dealership. Now luckily he has arranged the original spares (most, if not all) with the help of some senior official at Yamaha. Now he want me to hunt for the machines and in turn he would turn them in real beasts

In that case Aunty might be a good option for you as she might just be able to give you a bulk deal , she still had 4-5 RDs last time I saw her shop.

It would be better to contact N.E.R.D's and get one rebuilt for you

Any decent RD with clean papers will cost more than 50-60K today, anything cheaper and you really are lucky.

As for Joga Motors, I outdragged a "mint condition" LT from Joga Motors on my Unicorn in 4th gear

YS: Scrap RDs with no papers/Police registered are going for ~20K-25K these days, yep, you read that right. A bike like mine would now cost close to 50K.
