Finally, a car that runs on water!
Once the tank (which, is at the rear) of the Genepax car is filled with water, a generator would extract hydrogen from the water using what Genepax calls its Water Energy System

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
I do not know who publishes these stories. It is defying the very laws of thermodynamics. Once they extract the Hydrogen and oxygen from the water, then what? Also it says it will go on for 50 kms on litre of 'any water'. What about all the minerals and the salts? Also the base car is a Reva. The story is just a fancy of some reporter or a kid.

And it needs a highly irresponsible publication to carry this kind of fanciful crap!

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
If you read the cited websites, they have ZERO information about this car's technology, short of saying that it will run on water!!!
Water, by itself, cannot EVER be the 'fuel' for a car. Such basic laws of Physics, Chemistry and thermodynamics cannot be so easily 'broken'.

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
That is true, however if the company is looking to get into an alliance with a car manufacturer to commercially produce it, I am sure it would be doing what they claim it to do else it would just be news and no company would actually produce it.

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
C'mon, YS, think about it.
Water is NOT a fuel. It needs energy to 'split' water into its components. None of those articles are even talking about where this energy will come from!! The world has not YET invented MAGIC!

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
You are certainly right about this, also it is not clear whether the power generated by water in this car, is immediately transferred to the rear wheel or if it is first transferred to a battery and then to the wheels.
If it first transfers the electricity to a battery, then it might the case that battery stores some of that energy and uses it to initially produce power from water. After all like you said, it would need some energy to split water into components.

Here you are:

Once the tank (which is at the rear) of the Genepax car is filled with water, a generator would extract hydrogen from the water using, what the comapny calls, its Water Energy System, or WES, to produce electricity that the car runs on. As opposed to the hybrid cars which emit water, Genepax's invention consumes water.

There is no mention of storage batteries.

Re: Finally, a car that runs on water!
So basically they are claiming that it runs like normal engines and produces power on demand. Somehow it doesn't sounds right.
