I was looking for a car that will give me style and also the performance for a vehical that can go the long way as my dad not being there i had to take my family to dehradun when required .... but then the machine should be reliable and this will be the frist time i was looking to move out of the maruti Boot Space and bring something that would give me some better performance in long run ..
Option Then Were : 1. Swift (maruti again but a nice car) 2. Santro (driven a friends year old ) 3. Alto ( family Fav ) And was looking for some second hand cars Eg. Skoda, Honda City, Would have loved to go for Safari but parents didnt allowed , and last but not the least the new bie in town Spark tht too with GM tag. Then after discussions and being in time frame and pocket my father approved for Spark as he was more keen buying a Small Car Than a second hand ... so went on to buy Spark thought never got the chance to drive a old one as i bought it when there were only three days old in the list so booked one and did the Paper formalities .... and then after waiting for about 4 days i got a call to take my new car home .. Technical Specifications Dimensions & Weights Overall Length 3495 mm Overall Width 1495 mm Overall Height 1518 mm Wheel Base 2345 mm Ground Clearance 170 mm Front Track 1315 mm Rear Track 1280 mm Front Headroom 1004 mm Front Legroom 1022 mm Rear Legroom mm Rear Shoulder mm Boot Space 170 liter Kerb Weight 840 kg Gross Vehicle Weight kg No of Doors 5 door Capacity Seating Capacity 5 person Fuel Tank Capacity 35 liter Fuel Efficiency Mileage (Highway) 16.5 km/liter Mileage (City) 12.2 km/liter Mileage (Overall) 14.7 km/liter Performance Maximum Speed 161 Km/Hour 0-100kmph 13.6 seconds 1/4 Mile seconds 100kmph-0 (Braking) meters 80kmph-0 (Braking) 32.1 meters Engine Engine Type/Model 1.0L 4-Cyl SOHC Petrol Displacement 995 cc Power 63 PS @ 5400 rpm Torque 90 Nm @ 4200 rpm Valve Mechanism SOHC Bore 68.5 mm Stroke 67.5 mm Compression Ratio 9.3:1 No of Cylinders 4 cylinder Cylinder Configuration Inline Valves per Cylender 2 valve Ignition Type Engine Block Material Block Head Material Fuel Type Petrol Fuel System Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection Transmission Transmission Type Manual Gears/Speeds 5 Gears Clutch Type Final Reduction Gear Ratio 4.44 Suspensions Front Suspension Mcpherson Struts with Anti-roll Torsion bars, gas-filled shock-absorbers Rear Suspension Torsion Beam Axle, gas-filled shock-absorbers Steering Steering Type Rack & Pinion, Power-assisted Power Assisted Standard Minimum Turning Radius 4.6 meter Brakes Brake Type Disc and Drum type with ABS Front Brakes Ventilated discs Rear Brakes Self Adjusting Drums Wheels & Tyres Wheel Type Alloy Wheel Size 4.5J x 13" Tyres 155 / 70 R13 City Raods Drive Review ... The Cars Feels small from inside and is very smooth to steer while driving in Crowded places also taken it to places like old delhi jama masjid so the crowd gets worst but the steering doesn't .. easy to handle but just have to keep in mind that the light controls are on left rather than the conventional way the head light are also easy and bright for city use .. then milage goes easy and driven to the norm it will give a decent 16kmpl but that to depends on the driver and the conditions that you drive .. i usually take it out on weekend when fortunately the traffic is less . thought if u consider the time she is still young but when u see look towards the readings i have done 10k + kms on it in 7 months .. outta which approx 6.5ks are in city .. alas the car is gud if u go the text book way 4 seater and the accelerator response is smooth and great as the most i took it was on greater noida strech at 140kmph but then was not ready to unleash it thus applied brakes . Highway Drive Review Now it was used for small sprint to merrut but then it is not a proper higway feel that the car gave as thanks to the road conditions by UP govt. and the friendly people who just lack driving sense . But after my father was in country for a visit i got the chance to take a break from the busy schedule and then explore the himalayas thus the frist trip of more than 250kms ... i went to dehradun via chutmalpur rather taking the haridwar road .. the car was easy handling and very gud while the uphill drive as i was going easy 50kmph on the twisty roads regards the years practise on the same track ... thought it one thing i like was it was yet ready to go more than 50 as was not looking tired after a continous drive at night without any halts .. when i reach my place in doon valley i gave her some rest ... then just as planned took it to mussorie and kempty fall and down towards yamuna bridge ... but till then the bug had bitten me as i was striving for a long trip alas i unplanned to go back home and took it to yamnotri ... there i had the fun factor there only 3 or 4 places where i had to go down to 2nd gear rest was at 4th and 5th doing easy 50 to 60 and that too the traffic was very less on that strech thus got the chance to try my hands on some quick turns got just a few trucks to acompany but they were very gud as always had the driver smiling and giving the way uphill ... also had some water crossings to make it fly and check on the suspension it was again smooth... till there was a place near barakot enroute we encountered a landslide .... we asked the local dhaba wala and some taxi driver the way and if any alternative they were keen to see the machine i was taking along and also said " bhaiya ji Yeh choti Gadi hai Chad Nahi Payegi aur age ka rasta bhi kharab hai humari gadiyan bhi thak jati hain fir yeh toh bahut choti hai" i was all lost as they were driving TATA 207 it is a power house .. still then when i waas soo near about another 70 kms there was no turing back .. yes the road after phull ki chatti was like another one near uttam nagar so that was not the concern but then came the tough turf ... it was niether cemented nor metaled but the road was just made from the Mountain Pebbles Each weighing about half kg .. The stock tyes went grt on it and then then i reached the maximum to hanuman chatti and went on the rest by foot ... next morning again it was a halt for an hour at doon house and the same day it was no halt ride to delhi .. She never gave up and always gave a sparking performance on turns and twists .. from uphill to downhill .. from turf to pebbled track ... and in the long run approx 740 kms one side it was fun being in the spark machine .. and the best part was i had the only small car standing there with all the big boy SUV ... A proud Feeling but had grt time being there as well Signing off Regards Rahul victor ..

yes bro it take somewhere around 14 sec to take it to 0 -- 100 kmph ... and the dehradun strech was done usually at 110 the max i had taken it was 145 kmph that was at muzaffar nagar bypass as there is less traffic at that strech at night ... but then had the bring it down as i was a bit scared of the balance and the coming bend ..

yes it is well tuned engine yoghesh bhai certainly then but wehn we see there arent any road where we can bring it to 160 the company claims it to do 160 i've done 145 myself and it didnt took much strain on the engine to reach there at 130 it was done at ease ..

thanks a lot yogesh bhai but to go to that speed if we get a truck changing lanes god forbid i am not very confident while driving a car at that high speed even a simple drift either way may lead to big mishappening as it take a lot space for car to go through and a bike does not takes a lot space it just takes its way out ..
