Source: Tata Indica Vista Ignis 1.4 Petrol With ABS & AirBags Coming Soon! | cubi[CC]apacity
Tata Motors will soon launch a new variant of the successful Indica Vista christened the Ignis in the Indian market. Ignis would be the 4th Indica Vista variant in a lineup which already consists of Aqua, Terra and the Aura. The ignis will come with a bigger 1.4 Litre Saffire engine that also does duty under the hood of the recently launched Fiat Punto but in this iteration, makes 95 ps, 5 ps up on the Fiat figure. The bigger 1.4 engine is a welcome change since the current 1.2 Litre Saffire unit although fuel efficient is underpowered for a car of this size. Apart from the bigger engine the new Indica Vista Ignis will also come with revised interiors which feature a new dash integrated audio system with bluetooth connectivity and call answer and reject buttons and USB connectivity, new steering wheel with steering mounted audio controls and electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors. Keyless entry is also standard. Safety has also been given a throughover with Ignis now offering ABS + EBD and Dual front Air Bags as standard. This is an important move since we have always maintained from the begining about the lack of ABS and Airbags even as an option in the Indica Vista range. The new Indica Vista Ignis will be out in the showroom and is expected to cost Rs 4.5 - 5.0 Lakhs Ex-Showroom Delhi.

People still think Indica Vista is like Indica Xeta - another variant. The car looks very similar to the old workhorse, and only from the front, does its headlamp mark its distinct identity. Tata should drop the Indica tag from this car and sell it only as Vista. They must also offer this car with various color schemes/stickers so that a few unique cars will grab road user's attention, who will take a closer look, and help change its present image.

This exact same attitude is going to be applied to the new one if Tata does not market it well. The marketing team in Tata is in a big dilemma, first they say Indica Vista, now they say Tata Vista, who knows what they are going to call it next?

This one is gonna sell!! The Aura already provides a host of features and is already extreme value of money. Your price points seem out of place. Are you sure its 4.5-5lacs ex-showroom?? I do not think so. Thats probably the points Aura falls into. But with the features you have mentioned, thats doing a hero honda! Stretching that single rupee longer and longer!!

I have just BIG question abt India Vista (and also Chevy Spark). Why have they kept the Instrument console in the centre? Is it for the passengeres seating in h back???? Its so irritating for me.

Exactly my thoughts. For me that instrument panel in centre is plain ugly. I'll never buy Indica Vista whatever value for money it may be.

Yup, the center instrument panel is ugly with a capital 'U'.
Just a side note: I don't think it is a good idea to copy-paste whole swathes of text from other websites, even if it is credited to them. Fair use does not cover that, so I guess it would be a good idea to steer clear of that. Besides, publishers are getting more and more antsy about content being reproduced in this manner and they are getting more okay with suing websites for such things. |
