Canon 500D is an entry level DSLR from Canon and features a 15.1 megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor, live view and ability to shoot HD videos.

In India it usually comes with a 18-55IS lens, battery + battery charger, eye cup, neck strap and the usual manual and software etc. and also membership to Canon Edge program.

Street pricing is around 47-48k.

I might get this with dual kit pretty soon.

But I am still unsure between 500D with dual kit or Nikon D90 with 18-105

More inclined for D90, but its to costly,

500D with twin lens is perfect though still not light for pocket

If does not mean it will not work. It means below 0, you are on your own.
So basically at such low temp you risk
1. Dew formation inside lens if you suddenly come out of heated room to 0 degree outside
2. Low battery life.
