Hi Everyone,
I am new in your club but not to Adventure's. We have planning to going on a trek in Sep' 09 to Ghuttu through Auden's Col, Uttarakhand. I need info about the trek over Auden's Col (Gangotri to Ghuttu via Auden's Col) ? Also Required Info regarding permits, good guide, best time, duration & rest days, minimal technical gear (snow), maps, costs, etc. and route planning would be of great help. If anyone interested to join this trek, Pls may post your interest. Thanks Omkar Singh |

Thanks Sandeep for your reply in this same thread.Ok you will planing to going on Kalindikhal Trek in July-Aug this is nice trek in the himalya its pass through gangotri, gomukh, tapovan, sundervan and then nandanvan.Kalindikhal is a trek where you are crossing one of the highest passes on trekking routes in India. But, its might difficult in the month of July-Aug because you can found lots of ice there 7 fix rope in some patch just near khalandi peak to khalandi pass. So, the best time for this trek is September. If you have time then try to makr time in the month of september because that time you found little bit of ice but in every place flowers & bugyals I have not done this trek, but i am interest in this. Actually what I come to know that, some people done this trek even in late June and didn’t find any difficulty while other undergo in Sept and faced the scariest snowfall in their life. Last year this trek claimed 6 life’s in Sept itself.
I discussed with some peoples (not sure whether they done this trek or not), they all suggested to discuss this matter with some good and professional guide. |
