The bikes are 500 per Day. This guy seems ok from what I discussed with him 2 minutes back. @Prasham Do you think I can go with this guy? Which bike should be chosen? I want a problem free bike. There are mixed feelings about pulsars and Enfields, TBs from the folks here. What do you guys think? Pulsar, TB or Enfield I'm very comfortable with a pulsar and ridden the Thunderbird a few times. But quite new to the Enfield 500cc or the Machishmo Please advice? |

This guy has 2 TB and I have tried both... Both are trouble free... Moreover if you haven't ridden long distances on bike, I bet you will be much more comfortable with TB... Pulsars doesn't have comfortable seats compared to TB and during cross winds low posture of TB along with its weight will be highly stable... So go for it... Last season he charged me 600/- per day for his TB...
Go for the Blue TB...

Perfect dude. Thanks for the Info. I love the TBs, in fact, I'm actually trying to purchase a second-hand TBird. I tried out a Tbird with an RD-350 handle, it was super.
http://keshavram.googlepages.com/Blacktbird.jpg Even I would prefer a TB, but I was thinking of a short handle bike to navigate through the rubble or the rough patches on the road. What do you think? @Alok I'm flying to Leh on May 9th, next friday. Friday, 9th May - Stick around in Leh and get acclimatized. Saturday, 10th May - Start for Khardung La. Stop for the night (where?) Sunday, 11th - Reach Kargil. Monday, 12th - Start back to Leh Tuesday, 13th EOD: Be in Leh. Wednesday: Fly to Delhi and then back home. What do you guys think. I don't have any more info than this. I will post info in the "Itinerary" section. My friend's time is restricted and so we are cutting short our trip. Me on the other hand, I have time for a few more days. But if I can find some company, I would love to explore Nubra Valley. Last edited by imkeshav; 04-05-08 at 05:00 PM. |
