Default Caravan, Kargil

Must stay hotel...
All vegetarian...Shiv Ram ji, the care taker makes amazing dal chawal.
That was the best meal we had had in a week..

Located deep inside the city, very close to the district hospital up the incline from main market...

Rates may vary as per season. We paid 300 for the Off Season.

Almost the entire Kargil City is Visible and of course the lovely starry sky above...

Can you give me the hotel details, if you have one?

I think this is the phone number for Hotel Caravan, 01985 - 232278. Not 100% sure if it is the same hotel, but worth a try.

Under most normal circumstances I'd have disagreed with this!
But yea, sometimes, depending on the duration of deprivation, I can imagine that dal-chawal might taste divine!
Also, I believe that the weather has a lot to do with your appraisal of a meal.
Not sure if the BSE stock index also plays a role!

Sir hope you remember that Kargil onwards, Dal-Chawal actually means Rajma Chawal

Yes and that's why Dal-Chawal is such a good option after Kargil
