Hotel Heevan, Pahalgam, J&K

simply an excellent location! This is an old heritage property and is at the far end of Pahalgam across the river.
They have a dedicated bridge that leads to their hotel!
Somewhat expensive at Rs.2000/- plus plus. But the location and the views sort of make up for that.
Not terribly well kept, but they have an excellent garden and parking which is attended and locked.
Typical 'discount' is 20% upto a max of 30% on published rates. Rather arrogant young man (son of the owner) sits in the office.

Anup Sir, i must say, Awesome Hotel. I think the price charged was reasonable looking at the property you and your family stayed as their aren't much hotel options. Over all the property looks very well maintained with a nice sitting area and the river (I think its Lidder) is an added cream to the Coffee.

Anup Sir, in which year you stayed here?? As i just checked the current tarrif details on Nivalink (I checked on internet however seems that the hotel has no dedicated website) and here is what i found. The start rack rate for deluxe room is Rs 4500.

Dev, we were there in July 2007. The rack rate was about 3500/- and a lot of bargaining got us rooms at a bit over 2000/- each.

While the exteriors look very well maintained let me assure the interiors are not!
In fact I was appalled at the soiled upholstery on the sofas in the lobby!
Strong impression of grandeur going to seed!
