Default J&K Tourism Bungalow, Rangdum (Suru Valley)

The J&K Tourism Bungalow at Rangdum in Suru Valley is one of only two accommodation options available in the town of Rangdum.

Scarcity of travelers in this part of the country mean most often than not you will be the only traveler in town. This also means that amenities provided at the tourist bungalow aren’t much to speak off, just a warm cozy bed and roof over your head is how I would describe the accommodation on offer. There is however solar powered light in each room and thankfully in 2007 the toilet inside the bungalow was working (which wasn’t the case in 2006), though one still had to fetch water from the hand pump in the compound.

Views however more than make up for the lack amenities

Room rent: Rs. 100 for a double bed room

Nope, radio tower. There are only 8-10 houses in Rangdum so I don't think it would be getting a mobile phone tower any time soon.

Radio tower as in Vividh Bharti? Or radio frequency communication network of the Army?

Sorry for the confusing sentence, that tower belongs to Vividh Bharti. Army does not have any infrastructure or base in Rangdum.
