Road Status of Himachal Pradesh

Hi Everybody you know I am in manali & I am posting from here. I came manali for some office work (Rohtang Pass Tunel Work) on 15.05.10 morning. And, I finished my work on the same day because I wanted to safe my next days for explore the road status of LEH. We don’t have enough time for the same therefore I plan my visit up to Baralacha pass. But it will be possible only if the Rohtang pass would open. & luckily Rohtang pass is open. Today I took the taxi (Alto) from manali to visit Baralacha Pass. Unfortunately when I reached Khoksar via Rohtang Pass, I came to know that the Baralacha Pass is not open yet. Local Police told me that will be take another 8-10 days to get it open for Vehicle & tourist.

Then I change my mind & I decided that I will go to Chota Dhara because I had a full day to spend as I started my journey from manali early morning (4:00 AM). And, finally I turned the my taxi for Chota Dhara &my way to Chota dhara before Chhatru I saw so many big Glacier which was has been already cleared by GREF.

Road status is not good due to lot of snow around the way. But I happy because you know everybody, I love snow. Then Suddenly I was shocked seeing some unexceptional views & I said OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@eric, chhota dhara is between chhatru and batal (16 kms before batal)

Chota Dhara is around 50 kms from Rohtang on the Rohtang - Kaza road. The route is Rohtang - Gramphoo - Chattru - Chota Dhara. The only landmark there is a rest-house.

good thing is that I can see some tar on the road, I was expecting it all washed away after snow.
