Default Tonnes of snow in the himalayas

As most of you already know, its been snowing for the past week. Whichever PWD I call up(above 2000mts), they tell me mat aao mausam kharab hai

However things are expected to improve from tomorrow, and then again on saturday a fresh western disturbance is expected to hit the region again
The pic below is the latest IR pic, and as time passes, it will keep getting updated by IMD folks
Did not know where to put this post, but I figured, since its the news, why not put it in travel news section

From what I could gather
1. PWD shoja buried unders now
2. Snow at kalatop
3. Narkanda virtually inaccessible with snow and ice
4. Kothi cut off
5. Snowing in Kufri, raining in shimla(but by now it must have started snowing there too!)

Srinagar is badly hit, was watching new channel, about a huge snow land slide sweeping 250 Army Trainees for high Altitude training at Sonmarg.

Traffic for Army was completely at halt. Jeeps with even snow chain were burried under snow

BTW Yesterday's TOI showed tourist at Keylong. what does that mean, Rohtang open or Kumzum open?

Wishing this western disturbance reaches Nagpur and wash out rest of the play as India is on the verge of loosing Ist test match against SA.

The Automatic weather station in Dehradun got 9mm of rain. Which means the higher reaches got snow.
