Aye, that's the one. Nalagarh! That's the name I was unable to recall. Very beautiful and scenic route. Bad roads, of course! Thanks, Kurt! |

Hey Sterin, you can try this road, scenic but in very bad shape. This can provide you a bit of hands on experience of Manali-Leh drive

Yogesh, if you mean the Mukarba Chowk Flyover, then yes, it has been made signal free and by-pass is no longer a bottle-neck.

Vaibhav I was talking about the stretch beyond that flyover, where we have to take the diversion on the left to go to Delhi border.

@sterintjose: Have you reserved a slot for your bikes on train? Or you will be doing it runtime?

If you have already booked the tickets then its almost done. U have to go to luggage office at the railway station (City station - at Right most end) at least 4 - 5 hours before the departure and register ur bike as luggage. Cost will be around 2100/- max. No need to go by agents. U need to have proper documents of the vehicle... RC, Pollution, Insurance etc. Carry 2 copies of the same for submitting at starting and ending stations (may be reqd. not sure about this) You can't book slots in luggage compartment of a train. It depends on the availability of space in the luggage van. There shouldn't be any issue because in your case it is train's starting station (???). Happy Journey, Thanks, Sterin |
