The Annual Rain Ride

Well, its time to plan for the annual rain ride again!

Destination: Somewhere in Kumaon, Uttarakhand.

Days: 3

When: First or second weekend of August.

Any suggestion for the venue and also anyone wants to tag along? I will be riding with Nadya as pillion.

Previous rain rides from 2007 and 2008 respectively:

I am in for this one, but need to know the schedule atleast 2 weeks in advance as I have to plan my offs. However, dont have any idea on the destination. Will be watching this thread and will surely join you in the ride.

Wherever it is Kumaon - chances are I have been there already. Mt.Abbot and the Kali Kumaon region being the exception..however Kaushani still is the firm favorite with Nadya!

Sounds intersting. BTW, how tough is this circuit, considering, I've not done more than 500kms in a day, which I did recently on my Delhi- Chandigarh-Delhi Trip. And also, would any other gear be required other than the rain gear?

Tough? What tough? Its easy man and I aint gonna be riding more than 400 kms in a day anyways - trust me on a 150cc bike with pillion + luggage + rains + twisties it becomes fun for me

Rain gear plus your normal safety gears like Helmet, gloves, etc. Carry a rain proof cover for your bag(s).
