Try Paschim Express (2925) - Daily or Sampark Kranti (2653).
Moreover lot of trains go to Ambala Cantt. which is quite near to Chandigarh. Maybe 50 odd kms. I hope this helps. |

Hi Prasham,
Thanks for the info. But can I load bikes into these trains from Bombay and unload in Chandigarh / Ambala, since they aren't the last stops on these trains? |

Yes you can. But remember to tip the luggage van guy in advance so that he takes good care of your bike. Moreover don't forget to remind him before couple of stations.
Where are you planning to go? |

Make sure you load the bike in a train which is stopping for more than 10-15minutes at the particular station, you want to get off! Otherwise you can use a courier company and ship your motorcycle to Srinagar or Mandi.

That's a good option as well but does cost more plus schedule 1 day extra if you are trying for this option.

Prasham - Thanks a lot. And where else? Mandi, my home-town and then on to Ladakh.
Yogesh - Thank you! Shall keep that in mind. Want to avoid courriers and want to start riding from Chandigarh. Earlier I used to take the Rajdhani and start from Delhi, but what with the limited days the Delhi - Chd highway ride doesn't make sense, so... Thanks! |

@d50alchemy: It is advisable to book your bike till ambala, where you can choose from multiple options, and pick the train that suits ur need. Paschim is the only train coming to chandigarh from bandra direct.
