While in the planning stage, when I check the availability in the HPTDC, both the places in Kalpa have zero availability from 25th Dec- 31st Dec, very strange. Is it such hot property at that time. Rest, all the hptdc properties have accomodation available during that period of time.

I am not sure about its hotness but definitely you can find a room with number of other hotels in Kalpa. Don't worry... BTW aren't you doing it in november?

I think it officially closes, thats why, but official closing and real closing are different

And as for times, even driving slow Narkanda-Kalpa is 6 hours, I guess Chd-Narkanda is around 6 hours maximum if you leave early and miss Kalka jam and all?

So.... Chandigarh to kalpa is going to be a stimulating 14 hr drive give or take a couple of hours for all kind of stops!
