Default Kazaa in November. Possible??

Hi All
Could anyone please tell me whether the status of the Hindustan Tibet Road beyond Rekong Peo in first week of November.
A friend and I were wondering if it would be possible for a speedy dash to Kazaa and back from Chandigarh!!
We will be on a rickety Pulsar 150!!

No problem at all, as long as you are not planning to cross Kunzum and Rohtang.

Thanks Yogesh!!

Our problem is that we want to speed run this. How possible is Chd - Kazaa - Chd in four days??

I am sure it is on the border of being ridiculous (it probably is), but is it doable??

It is neither ridiculous, nor undoable. You can do it easily, provided you are ready to push on the first and last day.

If you are ready to ride about 10 hours every day and "miss most of the things you shouldn't miss" than yes its doable in 4 days...

1) Road is bad and even a single puncture could badly damage your plans. Keep a buffer day.

2) Food & Acco could be problem in Nov... carry some food.

In fact Yogesh, I followed your views on cameras and have picked up an EOS 500D. Ever since I have laid my hands on it, I have been dying to click! So whatever the trip turns out to be you will definitely "see" a lot of it!!

Yes Doc. you are right. I guess we will leave Kazaa for later then. I was being greedy, trying to cram as much as I can into a measly extended weekend coming up!!

Thanks Prasham. Initially it was going to be a challenge run. I and a student of mine go affected by "The stupid male ego got challenged when someone said something cant be done" Syndrome. Now the 150 has been replaced by a Wagon R and wifey and son will be a part of the trip.

By the way guys. Now just tell me should I even try driving to Kalpa in a day from Chandigarh. My aim is to get two full days at Kalpa and then drive back in one day.
