I don't think you should devote the whole ride to Mukteshwar only; its a beautiful place, but not big enough; after reaching there, you might not feel satisfied; it would be better if you can extend nearby places too...like Nainital; and it would be the best, if the ride culminates at Kausani.

In Mukteshwar these are few things that can be done...
1. Rock Climbing and Rappeling @ Chauli Ki Jali. There are different levels to do rappeling and can easily take half a day. 2. Trekking to the waterfall. 3. Visiting nearby apple orchards (or go to Rampur) for the same. 4. On the way to Mukteshwar we can take breaks at Bheemtal and take a detour to Naukuchiatal. 5. On the way back from Mukteshwar we can come via Nainital and enjoy momos at the tibetian market. Also there are caves on the road from Mukteshwar to Nainital which are worth a visit. |

My office offsite might get postponed. Then mukteshwar would be possible. But, why not chakrata side?

Isn't it a bit too much considering we are thinking of visiting the place on a weekend.
