Pushkar Camel Fair 2008

Dates for this year are 10th to 13th November. I plan to visit the fair 5th year in a row, will be travelling there from Delhi with Nadya over the weekend before the fair. Anyone else planning to be there?

I would have loved to join you and your wife on your Apache ...

but sorry, I would be travelling with my girlfriend instead on my own bike. And no, no one else can join us on our bike.

P.S. Its also illegal to tripple on a bike

from what i've learnt from ken - its a week long affair - the mela is fullon in the last few days, but the animal trading is at its peak in the first three days.

That said, the weekend is 8-9th and I should be there as well; boss be willing

Car. as of now.

need a recommendation on a good hotel (1000-1500/day max) - tv in room is good, rest is irrelevant. What matters is clean loos and a secure place where I can leave my laptop while out exploring in the market. And yes, a safe parking space for the car as well.

I have only stayed in Pink Floyd Cafe in Pushkar and they provide TVs otherwise all you have mentioned is covered there.

This year I dont see myself staying anywhere else except PFC, I just love it there.
