Dheeraj, why are you trying to show her the whole of Himachal on a honeymoon trip?
I'd suggest you keep the destinations few, spending more time at leisure instead of running around from hotel to hotel and taxi to taxi. Everyday on the road is not the idea of fun for most people! Do remember the core activity for a honeymoon is different! ![]() Maybe you should spend two days each at Shimla, Naggar and Manali. Two days at The Peterhoff Hotel, Shimla, two at The Castle, Naggar and two at The Kunzam, Manali. If you prefer quieter venues and long walks etc. you should be looking at Chindi, Tirthan Valley, Kharapathar, Rohru type of places. You have to find out what kind of places she would like to be at! |

Well, there's still a lot of travel in your plan!
Manali to Shimla will take up the better part of the day. Are you going to simply spend the night at The Peterhof? Hardly worth it. Make it two nights. The Piccadilly is more upmarket than The Kunzam but is a lot more expensive. Take your pick. I'd go with HPTDC.

So I sthere any halt we can take in between manali and shimla...like we have chindi on the to naggar, is there some goood place worth spending evening... as time is not at all a constraint...
what about Gushaini???? I read and saw in Pawan's travelogue and it looks awesome n must visit...even showed the pics to her and she is also excited about that place...to alter we can remove manali al together but castle naggar is a must....I think then it may defer a bit continuos travel and even leave us enjoy the loniliness of tirthan.. sir you make it final-cut so i will go ahead with bookings... Days could be extended at comfort... ...

Dheeraj, the way to a woman's heart is through shopping!
Don't cut out all towns with markets! Manali is good. A wee gift goes a long way! As for Tirthan Valley, it is indeed very beautiful and not crowded. Maybe you should stay at The Trout House. Making advance bookings really ties you down. You cannot play it by ear, taking it as it comes. The time at which you are going is off season. Do you really want to make all the bookings in advance? I didn't, for the first and only honeymoon I had! LOL!! That's how experienced I am - only one honeymoon! ![]() And I'm certainly not going to make a 'final-cut' for you! Hehe, no chance for you to blame it all on unclejee for anything that doesn't work out perfect!! |

LOL, it's like giving an 'addha' to a PWD rest house chowkidar - fetches you far more than the monetary value!! Better leave from Naggar after lunch so that you have some time at Manali. Dinner at Johnson's! Shopping possible at Shimla, of course.
