Go via srinagar. No tension. Good roads(by those standards), and JKTDC has 30% off in all their accomodations.

Only a few km, after which you need special permission from the Army, as the road goes to Siachin base camp.

Thanx for updating YS. Does one need to know some one from the army for the special permissions as you mentioned. And if not how can one go???

Yes! You need contacts to get the permission, either in the Army or MHA.

Hello Frnds,
First of all im thankfull to Mr. Yogesh Sarkar for accepting my request and allowing me to be a part of this big thing.... Me and my few frnds are plaaning a bike trip from delhi to leh-ladakh in the initial days of october We all are students and recently formed a touring group in delhi.As after long time we have managed to get some holidays so that we can make a breakthrough from delhi and spend our holidays at ladakh! My very big dout in front of me is that can we go to leh-ladakh in the month of october??? ![]() ![]() I want somebuddy to help me out ASAP... once im clear to it then i may move on to my other queries... Thanx |
