1. yes
2. depends on the weight you are carrying, weight of yours, your pillion and condition of your motorcycle. In case some inclines are tough to manage, ask the pillion to get off, instead of burning the clutch. 3. No need to carry tents unless you really want to, for accommodation review check out Accommodation in Ladakh and along the routes to Ladakh 4. depends on a lot of factors, read more here Budget for a trip to Ladakh | Yogesh Sarkar's Blog 5. You can always ship till Mandi if you are using a courier company, while coming back you can either ship the bike back from Srinagar through courier company or from Jammu through train. 6. you need permit for Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri and Dah, Hanu Villages. Permit is issued by the DC office in Leh and can be easily obtained in a few hours during work days. You need attested copies of photo identity card for both the people. |

Enough time meaning what? You really have to give me a timeline to work with, else I will come up with a 30-40 day itinerary, which may or may not be useful for you.

Day 1: Delhi - Manali Day 2: Manali - Keylong Day 3: Keylong - Sarchu Day 4: Sarchu - Leh Day 5: Leh rest and get the permit made Day 6: Leh - Khardung La - Nubra Valley Day 7: explore Nubra Valley, go up to Turtuk Day 8: Nubra Valley - Khardung La - Leh Day 9: Leh - Chang La - Pangong Tso Day 10: Pangong Tso, you might want to attempt Marsimik La if you want Day 11: Pangong Tso - Chang La - Leh Day 12: sightseeing in and around Leh Day 13: Leh - Upshi - Chumathang - Tso Moriri Day 14: Tso Moriri Day 15: Tso Moriri - Tso Kar - Debring - Tanglang La - Leh Day 16: Leh rest/sightseeing Day 17: Leh - Dah/Hanu Day 18: Dah/Hanu Day 19: now you can either head to Lamayuru or take the Batalik road to Kargil, I am thinking that you will do the later so… Day 20: Kargil - Sankoo - Rangdum Day 21: Rangdum - Pensi La - Padum Day 22: Sightseeing in and around Padum Day 23: Padum - Pensi La - Rangdum Day 24: Rangdum - Kargil Day 25: Kargil - Srinagar Day 26: shikara ride in Dal Lake, maybe even visit Gulmarg Day 27: Srinagar - Jammu/Pathankot Day 28: Jammu/Pathankot - Delhi Now you might want to break the Delhi - Manali journey into two or more days to make a little less strenuous. Also if you want and can get the permit. Then you can visit Hanle etc. as well, however you will need around 580 km (700 km if you also want to do Marsimik La). In order to do this sector properly, you are looking add at least couple of days to the above itinerary. Also for Zanskar, you can add another day as there is plenty of explore around Padum. However keep in mind that you will need enough fuel for around 550km to do Kargil - Padum - Kargil and in case you want to visit Zangla and other little far off monasteries, then you need 100-150km worth of fuel more. You can also add at least a day or two in Leh, as there is plenty see around the place. Additionally, you can include Kinnaur and Spiti into the trip, which will require anywhere from 5-10 days to be done in a proper manner. Quote:
