Thanks to Yogesh, my final itinerary for Ladakh is looking like this

I am keeping the option of doing the Srinagar route first open as well(as that enable us to just fit in Tso Moriri as well)

We are taking our own vehicle(Bolero) and driving will be shared between two person in turns. This is primarily a driving/photography trip so any insights about the scenic de-tour/off roads and Night halt(with at least decent accommodation) would be highly appreciated. We are fast drivers but we would love not to rush and absorb the beauty.

Thanks again to Yogesh for help and looking forward to hear from you all. Did I say that we are leaving on Saturday(28th June). Highly Excited.

Yogesh, looking at nitinhm's schedule, I have one issue - how easy is it to get permits to go directly from Nubra Valley (Panamik) to Shakti (instead of going via Leh) en route Pangong? Won't that save a day and distance since you can go directly from Nubra Valley to Pangong?

That's a wonderful suggestion. I might give it a shot.

Won't that save a day and distance since you can go directly from Nubra Valley to Pangong?

Sir as far as I know, there is no need for permits, as long as you are ok with crossing 3-4feet high streams and off road condition and at the end of the day, it would only save him ~50kms.

I would have some apprehensions about crossing Pagal Nallah type terrain during late evenings.
An early start from Nubra would be required to ensure early afternoon transit of Chang La and Pagal Nallah.
July would be the most appropriate month for all this to be feasible.
