Trekking equipment in Ladakh

Does any one knows where I can rent camping equipment i.e. tents and sleeping bags in Ladakh?

We would only need them for a few days when we go to Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso and Zanskar Valley, so I am not really interested in carrying them from Delhi. Any info i.e. pricing/contact details regarding this will be appreciated.

Hi Yogesh,

I had contacted number of travel agencies and auto stores in Leh to hire bikes. Many of them rent various trekking gear like tents, sleeping bags, ropes and on and on and on...

So don't worry about hiring them. You shall easily find them at numerous stores in Leh. Reach there and hire them out. No big deal....

I Shall go through the V. Cards I have and post the info later on, if incase you want to book in advance. But I still suggest that you personally check the quality and only then book them.

There are plenty of travel agents there, who provide them. The one we went through to get our permit made was ready to provide us camping gear, cook and an assistant for a small fortune. However we decided against hiring it all.
