The Discover 125 basically had a P-150 engine bored to 125CC. Which means if the Discover - 150 sees the lights of the day, it'll have the Pulsar - 150 engine. And with the low kerb weight advantage, it will easily outperform the Pulsar-150! Either that, or the tuning will be such that it'll have the highest fuel efficiency in its class. Let's wait and see.

Even if its engine is same as that of Pulsar 150, it would give more mileage due to less karb weight. However I have a feeling that Bajaj will tune it for a little more mileage to entice the 125cc crowd to upgrade to it.
Where it leaves the current 150 remains to be seen. However its upgrade is due as well and who knows maybe it would receive good engine tweaks as well. |

I dont see why and how Bajaj would keep the Pulsar 150cc alive! A lighter Disco with Pulsar150cc bhp and torque is welcome nonetheless, good move BAL!

@darkie: maybe because it sells sooooo well? Apache came and went, so has RTR, Uni and Achiever, Hunk, CBZX.
CBZX Uni, Apache, RTR sold decently but pulsar leads the 150cc market very very clearly. Contrary to what you say, others need to smell the roses about how to market their products more effectively (i certainly dont think pulsar is the best by any remote margin, but it sells the best - so certainly is alive. Others .. he he!

bajaj has been an internal cannibal for a looong time
what with their own sales reps saying, bhai saheb, 150 le lijiye, wahi speed, whai looks aur mileage bhi acchi milti hai. 180 se kya karenge aap!! Interestingly: Quote:

That is there, maybe its time for Bajaj Auto to stop manufacturing Pulsar 150 and concentrate on Discover 150 and Pulsar 180.
