As, I have never ridden a stock 135, I'm sorry, I can't help you with your query. Will suggest you to ride one and see for your self. As I have never taken CBZ to Ladakh, can't answer you but you can ping one trance_nut, who have seen every nook and corner of Ladakh on his CBZ.

If you go through what I wrote will find that I assumed the error at 7-8%, could be more and could be less as well. I also mentioned that they were not the figures from a GPS Datalogger. I try to be as sensible as any other safe rider and try to suggest the same to other riders as well. Reason behind the fact is that I used to be a fierce road racer in my early days (not feeling proud about that at all). And then I had couple of serious crashes ( one on RD and the other one on RX) which changed my complete outlook towards biking. Though I still ride fast at times but only when I find right conditions for the same. I don't race with anybody else but myself. Though I don't find myself posting anything without being responsible but as it has been mentioned by you, I'll try to be a bit more cautious. Keep Riding and keep posting! Going offroad is never going to be a problem with it provided you choose correct tyres. Old pattern ribbed tyre at front is a big no. Go for dual purpose tyres from CEAT, both front and rear if you have planned or planning to take it to Leh. You can try the ones from Pirelli if you can get but don't go oversize. You would need to carry enough 2Stroke engine oil (2T oil) depending upon the total distance to be covered. In case you run out of it, you can use to 2T mix petrol as well. The one we refer to engine oil in 2Strokes is actually gear oil. Don't forget to take spare headlight and tail light bulbs and spark plug atleast. Rest of the details can be found in 'How to prepare your motorcycle for Laddakh'. Keep Riding and keep posting! Vikas Shokeen |

@Aamein: CBZX is not exactly the quickest around, but then you dont need a quick bike to get to Leh

Similarly just procuring the R15 and to know its top speed just is'nt enough and any good till the time you don't achieve that or atleast try to give it a serious attempt. Its got nothing to do with the need infact you don't need a bike that can beyond 130kph in India because the roads and traffic is not worth more than that. I would rather have bike that can go to 150kph while doing 130kph in 18 secs than to a bike with limited top speed of 130kph but achieving it in 14-15secs. These are my personal views and are not directed to any person proper. If anybody feels offended, please accept my sincere apologies. Keep Riding and keep writing!
