5000+ Kms on 100 CC
Hi,
Need some help in terms on how the engine , i.e an used platina would take the load of some 5000+ kms on a mumbai - leh trip .

I was largely concerned about the high rpms the engine would be revving in the NH8 sector .
Getting Manali - Leh shouldnt be a problem if the bike servives i belive .

Have done the Mumbai - Leh sector thrice on three diffrent bikes : Avenger, Std 350 , Pulsar 200 .

Wanted to try something new this time .
Advise if its feasible in terms of the engine reliablity .

P.S : Zanskar is also include in the itenary with the 100cc .
(Got the crazy idea from Sumeet)...

This year I had seen an old Splendor doing the Leh circuit and based on that I think a Platina would be just fine. You would cruise with it on roads.

Navnit you are right, NH-8 is going to be the major pain and would require a lot of patience. Frankly my advice would be to just ship the bike till Mandi else you will be bored like hell while cruising on NH-8, especially since you had done it before on P200.

If you still want to do this sector on the Platina then use thicker oil like 20w50 or maybe even fully synthetic engine oil to ensure that it can cruise for longer period on high rpm.
