Default Acetone Magic: It works!!!

Guys,

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...ne-petrol.html
After going through the feedback of many member who added acetone in petrol in their rides, i decided to go ahead and do it in my bike. The results are awesome, havent calculated the average, but there is definite improvement in power and performance. My bike moves like a scalded cat in first gear, loosing traction on less than smooth surfaces is easy. Do try and post your findings on this thread. I will use it shortly in my Fiat Palio. It rocks.

Torque did any one notice any side effects? Haven’t gone through that huge topic yet, but will do so soon.

A friend of mine tried toulene..for his bike.Under normal unleaded fuel, there was some deto, but with some toulene,it almost disappeared,Infact lesser deto than extra premium fuel.Problem is,no one will sell you toulene so easily, quiet hard to get and for a litre of Normal fuel+2t oil(its a rx)+toulene=about 70bucks.

Dunno much abt toluene but its not as easily available as acetone. There have been no side effects, our bikes run on all kinds of fuel, besides I put in just 1.5 ml per litre instead of 2.5 ml/litre and the affects were very noticeable. Try it once and do let us know your experiences.

I used a syringe and bottle of acetone that i purchased from a druggist.

Happy Tinkering.

I am hooked! The performance has definately improved, the accelerator input to sustain higher speeds has decreased, it trundles along happily at 80 kph using lesser accelerator input than before and I think this should improve mileage. Besides its the overall response from the bike that is great... did ride my bike without adding acetone one day and it felt heavy!
You can get acetone from any chemist shop and a syringe to get the exact quantity in.
Cheers!

Not yet, I guess I will try it out after the Ladakh trip. Just don't want to do any experiments on her before that.
