I really wonder why do they need to have these dedicated unit in Indian Army (it really looks to me a wastage of my tax contribution)
I mean will these things contribute in any sense towards making them war ready


I was really bursting in tears when i saw a snap where on one bullet there are 7 people and all of them having false AK47 and pointing towards all directions (including towards the sky)
will this really help in any sense other then making these army people realize that they do not need to visit circus when they already have one in their home.

Sorry, I dis-agree, there are so many things which we do, that not necessarily go in the direction of work goals or professional goals.

So consider army as a unit, where in they do so many things, and then they do this also as a part of those many things.
Like Major Rajywardhan Singh Rathore won a silver medal in Olympics last time. There are so many games where army teams are playing Nationals, none of them I guess would be having much time to be war ready and doesn't make the army more sharper than it already is. Still, they are the things that would keep people motivated and of course has brought us our first silver medal and I appreciate the effort army puts in to do these things as well.

It might not, but it might just entice kids to join the army i.e. a good PR stunt. This is especially important when posts in army are lying vacant.

"Motivation" "adventure" "team work" --etc etc how do you think you can build such things amongst men..these kind of activities promote inculcating values.

Have you never had "these" activities in your company...saying team building activities..managemet games etc etc...

and no its not a PR stunt...imagine the kind of motivation those men will have after achieving a world record feat. The army runs on Motivation, so your tax is not wated on it i suppose be generous in your applause towards them

@Prem Point taken but see no link between olympics and the dare devils bike stunt events
@Yogesh - how many of us have witnessed any of their events and as far as army positions are lying vacant that is a seperate thread for which since the day we became independent we have not been able to resolve the issue. They are not even implementing very simple idea like they should be there when in any college they are having their convocation, participate in local fairs by putting up their exhibition.
I have been in a small fair in US where they were having a small exhibition in which they were calling kids youngsters to do 20-30 pushups in order to get some teashirt or some other goodies related to army.

Dont want to put many things here all i wanted to convey was they need to think differently now (they have been doing the same things since british left us which disappoints me sometime)
