Used activ xtra - arpan's bike - just replaced with new.

Its the best and the worst - amazingly smooth for engine, horrible for gearshifts. Finding neutral is an art.

My favs:
elf Moto4Gold - uber smooth, except for the idiotic BAL 20w50 requirement
Veedol Turbostar (unfindable in mumbai ) - super smooth engine, very easy clutch (but sometimes in slow traffic, you'd hit neutral from 2nd more often)
Valvoline Premium 4T
Mak4T, Caltex Revtex - rough engine but little slippage

Activ Xtra
GTX - horrible clutch slippage

Finding neutral on pulsar is always an art . ,we can have a poll on this and you will agree with the results.

Horrible gearshifts ....hmmm they have still not fixed that issue :? I have the same issue when i got my bike , the engine is smooth ,but gear shift is horrible .

Solution : There are three springs inside the shift mechanism ,change them .See the difference . Thank me after that.

its arpan's bike. no wait - its praveen sathaye's bike

I'm saying it compared to mine - say in traffic, i brake fully, then rapid downshifts are way tougher in this bike compared to mine. It is perfectly smooth upshifting and regular slowing down.

That being said, earlier, with my bike, sometimes instead of 2->3, I used to go straight to four. v1 is precise gearshifts by comparison!

used
On Pulsar 180
castrol GTX (didn't know that it is for cars)
castrol Power 1
Mak 4T
Valvoline Premium

On Karizma--

HH 10W30 OIL, not happy
've changed to HH 20w40(still not happy)

can i buy two cans of castrol activ extra & use it?(the 'zma requires 1.2 ltrs of oil)

no worries regarding warranty for me...
