Cool bike, I saw similar pics on Mordabad highway in "another forum" few days back. Looks like Yamaha is really stress testing this monster. With road testing underway, the launch won't be far behind.
Hopefully the perfomance 150cc are a precursor to 250cc 30bhp bikes from Yamaha.
After all Bajaj also started with 150cc/180cc Pulsar and went on to 220cc.
The company which lost the plot? Honda. They are dud after Karizma.

Well the Karizma does needs to be updated, not because it has been overshadowed by any motorcycle, because it has been there for such a long. Which personally I feel is a big achievement for Hero Honda and a spat on the reputation of other manufacturers who took such a long time to launch a worth competitor (220).

Yes, this is going to be their volume model. Even the headlight is ugly, here is a photograph from the AutoExpo.
just saw around 15 fz15's on the g.noida expressway.. stopped for a chat with them.. guys wasnt in the mood to talk... all they told me was that it was a 150cc which has not been launched in market. he dint now the other specs like torque etc(or dint wanna tell).. they were riding at a speed of 60 in a straight line on the road..
i loved the looks of the bike.. the silencer is the best looking part.. the ugliest part is the headlamp.. also they have made it uglier by putting the number plate over the headlamp,in front of the speedo.. i took some pics but realised later that they werent saved because my phone was out of memory..
there are speculation in market that yamaha will be bring another model of R15 in 2009 which will be 250 cc and also some more speculations that the bookings for karizma 350cc are on .. !!!! not sure how many are true but if these all are any close to reality then in no time we would have many other performance bikes being made in india. ..... !!!
