Re: First Thunderbird TBTS
What an ugly design seems RE was in a hurry to bring it to production....
Kick lever wow what exactly there were thinking after putting it there.
Rear Brake drum side changed, Sprocket location reversed...

And I am sure this will kill the thump beat of bull (Bigger silencer, the cylinder.... so its killer version of brit version of Bull. IF this becomes a sucess RE will stop the production of the Cast iron version. I am seriously planning to stock up atleast one or two of them before they start selling on Ebay......

Wow that’s what I call keen observation, never noticed those things till you mentioned them and now that you have, I completely agree with you.

Sparsh no info on the complete specifications, but from what I have heard/read, it is supposed to be 20bhp (up 2 bhp).

Re: First Thunderbird TBTS
In brief they have
Its a UCE (Unit construction engine) with integrated gear box
350 CC
20 BHP (a gain of 2 BHP)
0-6- 5.25 secs
Top end 125 kmph
Twin spark plug design
Shifted the traditional location of rear drum, rear sprocket
Now no more shafts running cross for changing the gear and brake lever function in the old version of Bull.
Claiming better average as its not a lean burn engine.
Aluminium engine - much lighter
Test drive -- need to check with Mahadev auto in Noida ...

Overall I am sure the traditional bull future is surely around the corner as RE wont take the pain to keep both the version in production.

Re: First Thunderbird TBTS
UCE will surely remove the gear shift issues so smoother gear change.
Rider will surely miss the small lever in the traditional gear box which worked as magic to bring the bike in neutral irrespective of being in any gear (except first).
Shifting the rear drum is to bring it opposite to the front disc so as to counteract the drag while braking this is a most common issues in all the bulls or infact all the old classic bikes with the same design. Whenever u try to suddenly stop using the rear brake the bike drags. (Need to check if it will be removed now)

Biggest of all Rider will miss the thump beneath his a*s which results into complete numbness when ridden for more then 1 hour.
It will sound (i have not heard it yet) just like any other ordinarly bike (silencer is longer then the current one) so rider will miss the attention he was getting cause no one will hear you untill you bang on their head.

In the end if you have a cast iron bull -- its for sure it will be a vintage soon
