Take your time! There are a lot of myths and wrong notions floating about.
A basic 'course' on the electrical basics will go a long way toward dispelling these.

Thanks Yogesh for the detailed reply and its really enlightning. Rewinding is the cheapest method to increase the wattage as we are all discussing all possibilities to cut the cost. For me it cost only 500/ all incl. And about running on stock wiring you are right, it can make problems like wire smoking. In my case I have byepasssed the light wire by a high guage wire to the RR from Coil because as you can see the hairline thickness of the stock wires, I didnt take any chance. Only thing I havent done at that time was the omission of the relay which I installed after a few days and the difference was very evident with the bulb performance as the stock switch was not conducting the full current to the bulb. Its almost 2 years by now and as of now no problems. And now sign of milage drop or something like in the case of performance. I can still sprint like in the early days if I want to.

I dont want any one to do the same but those who have already done and somebody is longing to do such things, this is the way I done it. And from this thread only I got this idea from you, Popsha and others. In my case, my mechanic was not at all sure about this rewinding on the stock setup like what you said earlier, but I was quite confident of it what I am doing and it worked and am keep on doing these kind of DIY tricks and posting it. I think its a help for others like me out there.

As for running an HID, yes I got it just a few days back only. And now the situation changes to more demand for DC to the HID. I hope I can solve it soon. As for the projectors, I am searching for suitable one from some suppliers something like retrofit types, open the sealed beam and fix the projector and seal it back. Sounds strange?, riding with a Pulsar having a sealed beam which is very prone to crack for a silly falling, is not a big thing. I got enough expertise to change the sealed beam for myself which I used to change in the early stages, just a matter of Rs.100 for local wisor glass and 40/- for the silicon sealant. Only thing is local wisor fades away within 6 months so I swtiched to original assy.

Yes, Current stock reflector is good for the halogen and am working on a round sealed beam which can be fitted within the stock beam as I cant throw away the stock fairing to retain the ballastI(there is a very secured place in the fairing on the top of the refletor and the assy cover and any ballast is a slide fit, no need to fix it under the fork assy) and other wiring harnesses, relays inside the fairing. So the whole HID unit is fixed in the fairng itself and you can pull out the whole fairing just by disconnecting the stock bulb socket as you do in the stock bulb. There is a utility space in the fairing (Old analouge speedo model), you can carry med size book even a camera if you are confident that it wont jump out.

Is there any way to increase the Headlight power of HH passion.

Stock is 35/35w which does not serve purpose at all and I want to increase it to 55/60 W.

Or the 55 W Spotlight is the only option? and how much it will cost up?

No dear, am just replacing the glass for the assy, once its brocken to cut the cost. Original dom will make drop of 750 from ur pocket. I used to change for mine and my friedds and now am on another research , fixing a round single focal dome within the stock dom as am on HID right now and the stock reflector is not good for HID, causes a lot of stray glares and beam focus is not good.

U can also do the same if you have some interest and patience to fix. Once you know how to pull out the whole HL dome assy, its easy, else any mechanic can help. But its not worth as its getting faded within 6 months. I stopped it because of this only and dont know the current quality of the glass. Am at Cochin and what about u?

The reason for asking the above question is, I am planning to fit a projector lamp inside my GS150's headlight seal beam. For that, I have to dismantle the glass, fit the projector inside and then put the glass back on. Not intent on fixing some local glass, but dissembling and assembling back the existing dome.

Edit: I am at Pune.

Go ahead, I have seen ur other posts on projectors. Pull out the glass is a bit tricky job, you will have to heat the whole assy in an oven at 100C for 5 min on a wooden piece. Take out, now the sealant will be loose and with the help of a wide tool, I use steel scale which is having a width of 1inch, remove the glass from the assy carefully. YOu should have enough patience to not to break the glass, Locks, ofcourse are designed to fix for one time, chances are to break but evenif you break it also, dont worry you can seal it with the sealant, only thing it should be intact with the dom and water proof. After the retrofit, careful with the sealent should not fall into the reflector, but on ourside glass wont be a problem, once its dried, you can peel it off without any marks. so go with that and good luck.

GS has 35W headlight bulb. For fitting 55/60w bulb, you need to first disable the pilot lamps/change the bulbs to LED. Then you will have additional 10W at your disposal. The Number plate light can go too, if it is on AC current. If it is directly connected to battery like the speedometer light n the tail lamps, then no use of disabling it.

In short, for powering up 55W bulb, you need to have 55W free current, now you have only 35W from headlight. Arrange the rest 20W by disabling other current drawing lights not connected to battery, and then the 55W bulb will shine best.

BTW Osram silverstar priced around 180rs is best vfm 55w bulb. Phillips n other bulbs priced around 800-900rs make no sense, as by cost of 2 bulbs you may go for HID!

If you get your bulb changed from outside, they will charge 20-50rs extra. Give the bulb to suzuki when you give it for servicing, they will change it for free.
