As some of you know by know, I've gotten hold of a Karizma R for some time. The bike has clocked 1860km as of today.

Now, I know that HH reccomends a 10W30 grade oil for it. I have two queries regarding the oil.

1. What other alternatives do we have in 10W30 grade??

2. According to the user manual, the draining period for the HH 10W30 oil is 6,000km . What is this all about? And has any karizma owner actually used the factory oil for this long??

Cut the crap
use Motul 300V for a Zma and forget everything else.

But the 300V is not yet available in xW30 format, though it would technically run with a xW40 oil. Still HH must have had some reason to change the specs of the oil, right???

Anyways, switch to a fully synth only after you completed 5K kms!!!
