hehe quite true, I still remember the days when I used to take her to the service center; waking up early in the morning and arriving there before the service center opens to ensure she one of the first few if not the first bike that the mechanic would work on and then staying there till the work is completed.

Absolutely worth it .. Mantra for service simple.. choose middle of the week.. wednesday/thursday.. Go early.. get out by late afternoon/evening..

Just one more thing, don't let the service center idiots wash/polish your bike, unless it is really dirty. It is always best to do it your self with a good quality polish and clean cloths, which service centers seldom have.

Well here is my blog post explaining the reasoning behind it, Why you shouldn?t get your motorcycle washed in a service center | Yogesh Sarkar's Blog

I only get my bike washed from outside if there is just too much mud or oil on it.

@ Yogesh

That is really a wrong thing on the Dealer's part....but, belive me the dealer here in Gurgaon - Aman Automobiles, doesn't do any such thing....the owner owns one each of all the current production bikes and gives a test drive only on them....infact he has a Classic 500 too for test drive....

Hats off to Aman Automobile for their outstanding customer service.....

Maybe, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Add to this, mechanics at times swap parts from one bike to another. So it is best to keep the bike service done under your observation, than hope that nothing bad happens to her, while she has been left alone.

+1 to that.
I always make sure I only wash and polish my bike after seeing numerous scratches due to dirty cloths used on my Pulsar.

Hmmm makes sense... Well the wash happens in front of me.. My only doubt is the soap... That apart no scratch as i see... Ill still take care of this..

P.S: A scratched tank is more difficult to mend than a broken heart
