Performance Enhancement For P200
Friends, I have a P200, bought it just one month back. Now I want to do some modifications in order to enhance the performance of my ride. I'm a layman when it comes to technicalities so I'm seeking your opinion about the performance enhancements on P200 one by one. Please pour in your suggestions so that me and many other P200 riders can benefit from your valuable inputs.
My 1st query is : Spark Plugs
Is it good to go for IRRIDIUM Spark Plugs? Plz state in brief in which way it can enhance the performance of my P200? If it is good then exactly which model (Or part no./I even don't know whether there are more than one type which can be fitted in P200 so asking this) of Irridium Spark Plugs should I go for? If there is any other type Spark Plug which can enhance the performace of P200 then plz mention that too.
Many thanks in advance.

What is the lacunae you feel?
Or just because you are bored and that everyone else is doing it too?

Re: Performance Enhancement For P200
Abhi, my advice is very very simple.
Other than tyres and/or rims of correct size, please keep your bike as close to stock as possible.
You will reap rich dividends by NOT making any mods. These dividends will be in terms of longevity and reliability. By all means, change your headlamp bulb!

Re: Performance Enhancement For P200
Thanx for the inputs. Now the 2nd query
Which Bulb I should go for? I have already bought the original Avenger 180 Coil from BAL Service Center during my 1st servicing but have not installed it yet because I can't decide which bulb to buy. Here in Kolkata some have fitted OSRAM NIGHTBREAKER and the result is awsome. But I think here on BCMT someone, most probably Tanveer, has suggested not to go for Osram NB as the longevity is poor. So, what are others opinions? Osram NB or any other bulb?

Re: Performance Enhancement For P200
I think Eric is using Iridium sparkplugs on his 220, haven't personally used it but I can not see how they will make a noticeable difference, though slight difference and longevity might be there.
With regards to Nightbreaker, well if you can afford to buy them then by all means go for them and buy a standard 60w halogen for backup.

Do you mean increase or decrease in longevity?

Re: Performance Enhancement For P200
Iridium spark plugs do not require cleaning as conventional spark plugs and last longer apart from giving out a better spark concentration than conventional plugs.
You can go for NGK Iridium Extreme IX for Pulsar 200
This will set you back Rs1100 (MRP 550 each)
The Pulsar 200 comes with a Champion HG4HC spark plug the ideal NGK Iridium IX replacement plug will be CR9EIX.
