Uprated Autorickshaw???
Hi folks,
I work in Ghana, originally from Scotland and am a huge fan of Indian travel, with many Indian friends. I am considering buying an "auto", probably a Bajaj, and was wondering if anyone has any experience or tips for squeezing a bit more power out of them, or indeed fitting bigger engines? I like your forum by the way!!! Not bothered whether any ideas apply to two stroke/4 stroke or even the diesel ones, as various options are being considered by us for some fun in Ghana!!

Re: Uprated Autorickshaw???
You could try plonking on the Bajaj Pulsar 200cc motorcycle motor and go faster. The stock 4s Bajaj auto has a 180cc mill borrowed from its motorcycle engine. If you go for a two stroke, port the head, get a custom expansion chamber, add a free flow filter with suited jetting and you can fly.

That what I was thinking, however I have one question, is the autorickshaw engine water/liquid cooled? I haven't seen any radiators but the question is, how does the engine cools itself.

Re: Uprated Autorickshaw???
Thats what I thought, but how do they manage to get enough air in and out to cool it efficiently or are their engine tuned in a way to produce less heat than our motorcycles?
