Speed Climbing
Learnt about speed climbing from a friend of mine this morning, who told that today there is some competition going on somewhere out of India in which only one Indian has participated. Googled about speed climbing then & found this.. Couldnt resist myself from sharing it with you all.

Re: Speed Climbing
Thank God I have not seen it earlier, else the charm of watching movies like Cliff Hanger, Vertical Limit, etc would be totally wasted

Re: Speed Climbing
Nice, if we recruit such people into our army, situations like the Kargil war wouldn’t happen or would happen for the other side

Re: Speed Climbing
The Guy Dan Osman was the most accomplished climber, base jumper and anything adventurous you can think of.

Unfortunately he died in a bungee jumping accident when his ropes broke. He had deviced a new method of bungee jumping with tight ropes instead of elastic ones.

I have seen this video several times and I am still amazed everytime I see it.

Re: Speed Climbing
I think in those 35 years he has lived life more than one can dream of living in 350 years. Really sad to know such a person is no more.....

Re: Speed Climbing
Nab, while that is welcome information, it surely would help to put it in perspective. Could you post the timings for some of the other contestants as well, please?
