Our friend and fellow BCMTian, Ankit needs suggestion for the name of his band. He wants to name it after some place in Ladakh (except rivers and lakes). Any help towards that would be much appreciated.

People,
One day I listed all the places enroute Manali to Dras (and Zanskar) but could not find one name which did not project a Tibetan/Ladakhi image

I thought why don't I put to use all other resources on BCMT?

All the Passes have a Tibetan name... then I thought of names like Khyber Pass but thats already taken by another Band... phew..

So here I am asking you for suggestions - a name which does not specify the Tibetan image... yet is a place which everyone know or at least becomes curious about/attracted to...

After playing music (semi or) professionally for 6 years, I am currently recording my own album and will launch my Band's website thereafter with a full Big Bang - aimed at releasing it nationwide within 2 years. If things work out, I really want to get off the Corporate race and be a free soul traveling and makin music - AND making money thru both
Oh yeah.. I am into Indi Rock - that's Hindi/Urdu - Folk/Soft/Pop/Acoustic - Rock

So - Keep on pouring, guys... I promise we'll have our own BCMT Rock Fest 2010 in Leh!

What is Indi Rock? Certainly not Hindi/Urdu! In fact, IIRC, Indie Rock is not a genre at all.
Pls help.....


And, I'd also like to know what Ankit Goel does in the band. My wrong guess would be 'bassist'!
