It was a fun day and many thanks to BCMT folks to help us channelize our energy and efforts in a constructive manner for the people of Ladakh. Proud to be a member of this "giving" community.
The logistics of sending off the relief material was finally over post mid-night. The truck arrived with 200 cartons of packaged drinking water with 12 one liter bottle in each one of those cartons. It did not sound much but the volume when stacked up all together did look daunting. ![]() This was only one pile of 100 cartons. Another 100 was to the left of this one. ![]() The clothes & woolens were properly organized and packed up. Many thanks to our home-grown packaging experts. ![]() The packaged water arrived in three such tempos. The guys who had dropped off the water cartons disappered soon after. The truck, in which they were to be loaded, arrived much later. So it was upon us to load those cartons in the truck. And here's a proof that we did break a sweat doing it ![]() From Left to Right: Nitin Sagar, Nithin K David (NKD), Shishir Gupta (cacofnix), Me ![]() From left to Right: Nithin K David (NKD), Aarti Dayal (aarti), me, Nitin Sagar These guys were kidnapped by us to work as daily wage workers |

Thanks Harsh for this much awaited update. We forgot to take your no. (stupid of us!) and have been waiting with bated breath for this update. Sorry to hear the co-ordination between the 2 trucks arriving at the same time didn't work out and you guys had to put in such effort. We all appreciate the same.
Edit: Just saw the pics. Hats off all of you! Last edited by Salil; 15-08-10 at 01:42 AM. |

Hi Harsh/Team, Great work..!!
We in our office are planning something similar next week, only If we had known earlier efforts might have been clubbed. Might come back for some questions though.... And, are you the Harsh who raised his Esteem to head to places like Chandratal/Ladakh earlier. Just guessing, might be the same guy so checking

Thanks a lot Harsh, too bad the trucks didn't arrive at same time and you guys had to do the loading. We bugged you guys a lot yesterday, thanks for being so supportive and understanding. A big thanks to Nitin, Nithin and Shishir as well.
